In her acceptance speech thanked Christine for her wonderful year and the amount she has raised for St. Catherine's Hospice during her year. Lynda told members how proud she is to be the President of Inner Wheel Club of Scarborough. Born in Hull and brought up in Halifax she is a proud Yorkshire Lass. Lynda worked in the Retail Fashion Industry for 50 years and she said how wonderful it was to work in a huge wardrobe and she developed her love of clothes. Lynda moved to Scarborough 7 years ago to live with her new husband. She did not know a soul in Scarborough and on a visit to the Rotary Conference with her friend Ann from Aireborough Inner Wheel they visited the District 4 Inner Wheel stall and Ann introduced Lynda to Val who agreed to take Lynda to the next meeting of the Scarborough Club. This is where Lynda experienced Inner Wheel friendship and she is now surrounded by new friends and embarking on a new adventure as President of the club. Lynda wants to get to know all the members better and so she intends to introduce a 'Good News Moment' at club meetings when members can recount an incident that has made them feel cheerful.

A talented artist Anne is always called upon when the club needs artistic input.
